We went camping last weekend at Pine Lake. We went to one of our favorite spots. It is a beautiful meadow with a creek running through it. The kids love to play in the creek and it is not too deep that we have to worry about them getting swept away. Two other families camped with us, which makes for alot of different personalities and alot of fun. We sang songs around the camp fire and played a game called Big Budda. Kacie lead the game and the songs. It was nice for me not to have to lead and to meet a fellow campfire song and game enthusiust. Here we are by our tent. Tent camping is the best! We truly were comfortable with our blow-up mattress and our new sleeping bags. It was quite a pleasant night sleep which I can really appreciate after having spent other camping trip nights cold and miserable.
The big hit as always was roasting marshmallows. Nathan spent a good share of his time holding his roasting stick about two feet from the fire. I don't think it was even luke warm but he was doing what the older kids did and was loving it.
Each family brought a four wheeler. We had a great time exploring the trails around the lake. We went to a amazing spot called Powell Point. The view was breath taking. For our family the joy riding was cut short when I popped the tire on a sharp rock ooops.
